Visitor Comments: I'm really bummed out, I just read on the Peoria Peepers blog that you guys have closed. You were my favorite restaurant in Peoria. I'm going to miss my Filetto di Amaretto. Thanks for all the great memories.

Tim - We just ate here on Monday night (5/4/09) and you and Chris were very gracious, getting us in and out quickly when I discovered the concert at the Civic Center started 30 minutes earlier than I thought. And thank you VERY much for the butternut squash ravioli! It had been recommended and you were kind enough to make us some. It was FABULOUS!!  Although we didn't have the time we would have liked to savor our food and drink, your offerings were done to perfection. Ponte Vecchio is quite the find. Wish you were closer to Chicago but you can bet we will be back if we pass through Peoria again!  Thanks.  Carol Myers

Visitor Comments: We drove over from Bloomington, Illinois on April 22nd to try your establishment. We were seated near the door and loved the ambience of the place. The menus were good and the entrees sounded great! There were four of us dining there this evening. After we got seated it took our waitress quite a while to take our drink and appetizer order. After about 15 min. our drinks finally came. Another 10 min. passed and some bread finally came out with the olive oil and parmesan cheese. Our salads came out after 20 more min. passed. The appetizer came out AFTER the salads. The salads were great, and the bread was good, but could've used more. Our waitress did not check back on us often - she was busy putting silverware away and doing some tidying up in the bar area. After an hour had passed our entrees finally arrived. My roommate and I had the pesce ponte vecchio (which was good) but this does not make up for bad service. Our other two friends had the all you can eat spaghetti and the pollo rollatini. The entrees were great! We spent 90 minutes in this restaurant and it would've been great if there was better coordination and timeliness of getting the appetizer, salads, bread, drinks and entrees out to us. After receiving our bill of $93.45 Our server (ID#50) only got a $5.00 tip. Maybe our waitress was having a bad day!

we were really in the mood for italian so we were in town for a job we called your resturaunt and ordered food to go. we ordered 2 dishes and 2 salads cost us $50 which was way to much for 2 pieces of chicken no linguini no sauce that was $16 artichokes were def right out of the jar then we had scallops over capellini and they were over thick spaghetti instead then our salads had NOOO dressing they were suppose to be ceasar salads we were lucky we got bread we had to go back in and get that before we left. I am def not happy with what we payed for the crap we got and I will def not be going back there to eat again. I would appreciate a refund cause $50  is appaling. Meg

Visitor Comments: Ponte Vecchio is consistently excellent. My wife and I visit for almost all our special occasions. I especially love the Filetto di Amaretto, but I do miss the Fungi Ripieni appetizer. Keep up the great work.

Visitor Comments: ...new to town and looking for Italian the way I'm used to having it in the Bay Area...Ponte Vecchio was recommended by a friend and turned out to be an absolute delight. Casual, yet sophisticated - one of Peoria's "Five-Star" restaurants for sure! And the good selection of Italian wines was an added pleasantry. I would recommend it to any discerning patron of fine Italian cuisine.
